Widowed photographer Ivy Langdon avoids people in general after her husband’s death. She ventures out days before Christmas for last minute gifts and stumbles into the middle of a terrorist attack in London. Will her luck ever change?

Steven Samuels and his partner Gareth Richardson are called in with their company, Blackbird Security Firm, to rescue the hostages. They never expected to find their perfect mate while saving the world. The more the two wolves learn about Ivy, the more that they want to make her theirs.

Love is never simple or straight-forward and life is often stranger than fiction.

Ivy finds herself drawn into a strange world of shifters and human traffickers.

Can love’s true bite find her before trouble does?

This story starts out with Ivy doing some Christmas shopping when the mall shes at gets attacked by terrorists. Ivy finds a cabinet to hide in until… ahem… nature calls. She decides that making a dash for the restroom is her only option.

That’s when Ivy is suddenly snatched up by someone who she thinks smells delicious. This is where we are introduced to two sexy men, Steve and Gareth, who work for Blackbird Security Firm. The two men are alpha wolves and they’d been looking for their mate for years. Steve and Gareth immediately recognize Ivy as their mate and now, they need to convince her.

“I don’t know you. And you don’t know me; I don’t care what your furry feelings tell you.”

The story flowed well, it’s interesting and there’s some pretty good suspense. I really wanted it to be longer so I could get more details. Every time Steve or Gareth came close to Ivy’s neck I just wanted them to take her right then and there. But I was left wanting every. single. time!

Kiss already

“Does the big bad wolf still blow the house down?”

big bad wolf

YES! YES! Blow my house down! Nope, no blowing of any kind here.

“Never run from a wolf, Ivy, especially one who thinks of you as a potential mate.”

run bitch

OMG! If they said that to me I would be testing that threat every day. Maybe even a couple of times a day. Actually, I’d have to become a professional runner. 😉

wolf hug

There is a part in this book that I would have LOVED to hear Ivy’s perspective from an incident that happened to her. I wanted to know her thoughts and feelings about what she was going through. What exactly happened while she was gone?

Overall it was pretty good. I bumped up my star rating to 4 because of the epilogue. Otherwise it would have been a solid 3 stars and only because there was no sexy details. And by sexy details I mean there was no SEX until the end. I will read this author again and now I can’t wait to read Natasha!
