Calico Cruz’s world was torn apart when the Master she loved lost his long, painful battle with a fatal illness. All she’d been and done over the past ten years had been because of Markus Cruz, now, she’d have to face life at the estate alone. Or would she?
The knock on the door surprised her, but not as much as what the knock would set into motion. After allowing her a month to grieve, Markus was reaching out and pulling her from the darkness—pushing her back into the light of life. Not even death would keep him from controlling and assuring her future path to love and submission.
Derrick Destry was Markus’ best friend in life and first on the list of allies for his plan. After months of preparing, Derrick would help shake things up in all the right ways so Calico could return to really living as a slave.
Before she could find love again, she would need to be broken back to baseline and Derrick was trustworthy and strong enough to get the job done. He would be the one to break down her walls and help prepare the foundation for her future.
With Derrick’s help Markus will remind her of the sweet taste of surrender and that he will be her Master—ETERNALLY. Together they will guarantee Calico another happily ever after.
In the meantime, she will have an earth shaking happy for now!
Love this and I can’t wait to read more!
Markus is the most loving and attentive Master. Even from beyond the grave he is seeing to his slave’s needs and happiness. Assuring that his slave Calico, will begin living life again and find purpose and ultimately serve a new Master one day. Calico must first surrender herself and learn new lessons from her Master that will help her move forward with her life. Derrick Destry is one of Markus allies and just the right man to start Calico on her new journey.
“Now, she had purpose. She was a slave and her Master was still at the reigns.”
“Eternally Your Master” is one of those stories that when you’re done reading, it sticks with you like a sweet and delicious aftertaste. It’s memorable. There was even a moment when I almost got a little emotional, when Cali wanted to watch the sunset.
“He’d managed to turn an alley cat into a pampered pet.”
So, now let me get into some of the fun kinky fuckery. OHHH! It’s so fucking good. For example… you know when you go to a water park and you’re on a ride that gets you soaking wet and you have to walk around with a wet spot on your ass all day? Yeah. It’s like that. Our first taste is the mutual masturbation scene over the webcam. Holy hell it was finger banging good.
The after dinner alley scene was really good. I mean, it was so well written that I felt like I was watching it actually happen. It was gloriously dirty.
“Yes, you need me to use your little body to stroke my cock. I’m going to jerk off with you right here in this dark alley. If someone happens along, maybe I’ll let them use you too.”
Seriously, all of the sex scenes were amazing.
All of the characters were very interesting. Even though Mrakus is the deceased Master, I was still very intrigued by his character. I would really love to read more about Markus and Cali’s relationship and how Cali became who she is today. With some of the flashbacks we do get to see that Cali is a street kid and Markus finds and helps her. But what we don’t get to see is how Carissa becomes Calico the slave. Maybe that part is slowly revealed as we read through the series. *fingers crossed*
Derrick, Derrick, Derrick. I really want to know more about this guy. I think he’s got a very dark side and he’s been eyeing Cali for a long time. YUM I want to explore his dark side. When Derrick first came to see Cali and he surprised her… grrrrr!
“Do you like it… that you can make girls cry when you fuck them?”
I bet you’re wondering why 4 stars? Well, to each their own right? First, the thought of “willing your slave to someone” is strange to me. However, I know that its only strange because I’ve never been in that type of relationship and I don’t ever want to be. I’m interested and intrigued by it and love to read about it, but I could never personally do it. Maybe this is coming out wrong… It’s not a bad part of the story, it’s just one little sentence in the story that never even comes to fruition because Markus loves his Calico too much and that is perfectly fine with me.
The restaurant scene was hot but what Derrick did with her panties… well, no thank you. All I could think about was an uncomfortable tampon. Eww!
Another thing that sort of bothered me was when the word slut is used. The word is only used a few times but it sort of takes me away from the moment. A lot of the books I read use the word slut and I’m not offended. I think the word slut can be a term of endearment and/or as an empowering word. It can be delicious dirty talk in bed too. Insert Soapbox Women are crammed into this tiny little box and expected to dress and act a certain way. If we step outside that box society starts to label us. Slut, whore or whatever. Actually, one of my most favorite words in the entire world is “cunt” and I only call my really good friends cunts. Anyway, back on track here. So I’m good with the word slut, but the few times its used just caught me off guard. With all that being said the sex scenes are still super filthy hot. I know when my husband takes me to bed, I AM is dirty little slut.
Something else that bothered me a little was why Cali cared if Derrick knew her background. Who cares where you came from, it only matters who you are now. The scenario sort of reminded me of Pretty Woman when Edwards friend Philip found out that Vivian was really a prostitute. The same thing didn’t happen and Cali is not a prostitute.
“Fuck yes, you dirty alley cat!-Looks like you can take the girl out of the alley-but you can always bring her back to play.”
Okay Derrick, I wanna play with you sooo bad!
And finally the last little thing that made me go hmmm. Was the stepping stones. I actually really liked them and thought it was very sweet. But then when Cali got one after Derrick left, it sort of felt like a Girl Scout badge was earned. Not really a big deal, but that was the first thing that popped in my head.
Overall, I really liked this and I can’t wait to read more about Calico’s journey through new lessons and a new beginning. I would like to know more about the characters though and I would like a little more back story on Markus and Cali. The sex is hot and totally a 2 finger 1 handed read. The Master/slave dynamic is really sweet and beautiful. I absolutely love it. I would recommend this to people who love to read erotic romance and BDSM. This is a Master/slave relationship so please be aware of that when you are reading this and enjoy the journey.

Interview with Derrick and Calico
DERRICK/CALI PART I
B.B. It only makes sense I start this series with the two of you since you’re the topic of the book.
Hey, don’t forget Markus. None of it would’ve been possible without Markus.
Derrick: (patting Calico’s hand) She’s never been declawed! (laughing)
Calico looks a bit uncomfortable….eesh!
Excuse my manners, I’m still protective of him. I’m sorry.
That’s quite alright, it’s understandable. Even after all this time…he was your first right?
Yes—my first love—my first Master—my first…everything.
And he was your best friend, correct Derrick? It must’ve seemed strange when he told you what he wanted to do.
Yes, he was and it was somewhat strange, but not as weird as you might think. I mean, we are in “the Lifestyle”….We’d talked about doing some things before.
But, with Markus involved in the actual process not out of the picture?
Oh, make no mistake, he was still beyond involved—in the entire process. None of it would’ve happened without his planning. It was truly one of the biggest honors and a gift that just went all the way around.
Calico: (looking to Derrick)
May I? (He nodded)
It was so beautiful and astute of Markus to plan things the way he did. He was always meticulous about everything, all “i”s dotted and “t”s crossed. He couldn’t have done it more perfectly really. Such a huge, and like Derrick said, expansive gift.
She’s right. There were things he brought up that would make me shake my head, like “No way man! You really think she’ll be okay with that?” But not one time did he go wrong!
Calico did you ever expect he’d do something like this? Did you expect Derrick to be an accomplice?
Oh, God no! How could anyone even think about expecting that? I mean it would be nice if people took care of each other after….but, some people might not like it either. Different strokes and all of that, right?
(she shoots a sideways glance at Derrick)
And this one, (she smiles, looking sheepish)
This, Sir, was completely out of left field.
Derrick: (pointing to Calico)
THIS one better mind her P.s and Q.s
(looking to her with a big, mischievous smile)
I still know your Master….And why would it be so surprising that he’d choose me? We were best friends, and it’s not like we hadn’t been to play parties together.
Well…It’s just…(looking to me)
He was always so safe, I mean not like a puppy or something, but not Markus. Markus had this way of gently but firmly pushing the envelope…
What happened there Calico? You trailed off…
Sorry, Freudian slip or something…You know, the whole envelope/letter is how this started…remember? Anyway, Derrick was not a pusher, he was safe like that. He didn’t even want to hurt you, hurt you…Do you know what I mean?
I do, but could you explain it for me?
I’ll take this one, since she is talking about me, (looking to Calico, his grin almost devilish)
You are going to be in so much trouble later kitten! (Back to me)
So, as she was trying to say; I had never had a slave, Lucy, my ex, was submissive and Calico is a slave. Lucy had a checklist of things she wouldn’t do, when she would and wouldn’t do them…the whole nine. Because Cali is a slave, her rules are a bit different.
What are her rules?
She really has none, except for those set forth by her Master. There are things he won’t do, ever, and so she would never be asked to do them (the usual, awful list, where most people draw the line.) Other than that, she has trust that her Master will never harm her—that is the distinction. Hurt would be causing pain or other discomfort. Harm would require medical attention (that’s just one definition.)
So hurt vs. harm?
Yes. But, in fairness, she’s right. I really almost drew the line at hurt. Lucy was such a softy, it didn’t take much. If I left a bruise, I’d feel guilty all week.
Yes, what about now, Sir? (she obviously knows the answer)
Now…after my time with Cali…I have been able to appreciate bruises…and slaves. I had the desire before, but I didn’t have a safe arena to play in…until Markus and Cali.
What aren’t you saying Calico? You look like the kitten that just ate the canary. (She’s glowing)
I’m not going to say…you’ll have to wait and see what happens. Besides, that’s a whole different story and this one will keep you busy enough. Maybe next time!
Does that mean I can talk with you all again?
Yes, I’ll have to check with Master first, of course.
Yes, I’d like that!
Looking forward to catching up with them again. I have so many questions I want answered. What about Blaze? And who is her current Master? What about the rest of her past? What about Derrick and his slave?
If you have any questions for them, message me and we can get the answers next time!
I write beautifully flawed characters who ultimately find, perfection is not a prerequisite. Our flaws are what make us unique and some flaws compliment each other better than others.
I love BDSM (Male dominant/female submissive.) There’s something that just feels so right about a man wearing the pants (especially when he wears them well and fills them nicely.) I am interested in the psychological aspects of relationships in general and especially when there is a power-exchange dynamic.
My world would stopping revolving if not for heavy rock music (and the wonderfully talented people who make it.) Music and it’s makers will definitely be strongly visible in my work. I listen, I remember…I listen, I’m inspired…to write…to love…to f**k…to live.

When did you first start writing?
First grade, but I didn’t really blossom until the third (then I was a rock star!)
What is your process?
Chaos…well, only sort of.
The ideas come to me in a variety of ways. Some are really random, such as the main character for a future novel, I misheard a name on a T.V. show and thought, “Who would this girl be?” I immediately wrote a quick idea. When I thought of her, I could “hear” her, and let “her” read the little introduction. She ended up sounding like something straight out of Steel Magnolias, and now I know exactly how I’ll develop her.
The character of Calico was born out of another idea. In my mind I heard the Master calling his girl “Kitten”. So I wondered, “What is Kitten’s name?” This became Calico, and of course, with a name like Calico she had to have the multi-colored hair of a Calico cat. I wondered about her last name, and who she was and how she’d arrived at the place to be called Kitten/Calico. It all grew from there.
I always try to let them tell me who they are and how they came to be. I try to envision their psychology and how they developed.
Sometimes, a song will inspire a character name and the whole, “Who is this person?” will ensue.
The actual process of getting this out of my head is where the chaos comes in.
I have an old affinity for pen/paper and love to hand write things. I will write just about anywhere and on anything. After handwriting I’ll type things into the computer in a second draft.
You’d think this could be enough, right? But, as I said, I’m inspired by what I hear. This leads to the ultimate reading of everything into my phone. This is something that’s been invaluable to me! I walk around and listen for redundant word usage (especially when in close proximity.) I listen for the flow…I add accents (Like Carissa-before she became Calico and Detective Sheridan, I read their parts in super, thick New Yorker and it brought those parts more dimension.) Then the Mississippi and Louisiana accents of some of the other characters bring them to life and help introduce me to their spirits.)
Describe your desk…
My desk can be just about anywhere I am…and the least likely place, is actually a desk.
The driver’s seat of my car in a random parking lot, just because sea gulls called to me, or the sun was in a position making it feel somehow the place of the moment can make it the perfect desk.
It could be on a beach chair, under the trees if the wind is just right.
It’s most often on my couch, with one of my fur children cuddled near trying for my attention (or for some sort of writing credit of their own.)
On the rare occasion I do use a desk type thing, it’s dark with deep colors surrounding me and my artwork hanging near by.
No matter where I call my desk, music will typically set the scene, and sometimes pace, of what I write.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I’ve sort of grown up everywhere.
I’m regionally diverse, but have a special (sticky) feeling for the Dirty South (maybe it’s just dirt and sweat!) and the plastic polish of California (glitter seems to stick nicely to sweat and plastic!)
I love beaches, the mountains and the occasional busy city. Basically anywhere I can drink in the atmosphere is welcome to me.
Everywhere I go and have been is reflected in what I write. I’m grateful to have so much to draw on and hope to visit and revisit some of my old haunts just to see what they make me feel.
So, a lot of my coming work will be set in the south, or have characters from there (Louisiana, Mississippi &Florida.) There will also be some city slickers (NYC & L.A.) as well as combinations of the two types (sometimes in one character.)
What are you working on next?
I’ve started work on the next Not Even Death (Still Your Master) and am editing the novel I’ve been working on for the past couple of years (which is complete, save for editing it down from 94, 900 words.)
I recently bought a dry erase calendar to help keep myself in line (I’m so not kidding!) I figure some days will be for Calico, some for Liberty (the MC of the novel) and I will have to take some days for just B.B. I have to find the balance again.
Not Even Death sprang from a need to distance myself from Liberty. I was living Liberty—in my ear, at my lips or coming off my finger tips–constantly. There is a whole soundtrack for the novel (most of it is posted on my blog) and if I wasn’t doing the previously mentioned things, I was listening to the soundtrack to her (their) life path. Distance I needed and distance I took.
Ultimately I began Not Even Death and then the whole cycle began with Calico,Markus and Derrick (minus their soundtrack-I haven’t figured it out yet.) My side project took center stage….now, it’s time for them to share.
I’ve been so careful, at this point, to really tighten things up. I can’t allow myself to even dip a toe into the other characters I have yet to fully develop. (There are still 3 more NED novellas to complete Calico’s transition; the novel with Liberty (which should have 3 parts by completion; It’s an entire journey into the BDSM Lifestyle, it’s fantastically beautiful! Beyond these is another novel series as well as 3 more novella sets.) But for now, I can only allow Calico and Liberty.
What’s the story behind your latest book?
The story behind, or story within? (One is of conception and the other..you’ll have to watch unfold with the series.)
Well, I’ve already explained how Calico began to develop. The idea just came to me (and went immediately into my phone so I could access it in the morning when I woke up.) I wondered not only about who Calico would be, but what type of man would call his girl “kitten.” The first thought that came to my head was the kitty from the commercial wearing a shining rhinestone collar. I imagined “her” owner.
That was when Markus “presented himself” to me. I saw a distinguished, handsome man in a dark suit (just a hint of a starched sleeve peeking out) reaching to pet the kitten on the head. Then, I saw him patting Calico on the head. It grew from there.
I imagined their entire relationship from beginning to the very end, and then I imagined beyond.
