Review

This is the 2nd installment in the Passion Moon series and it picks up right where Howling Passion left off. Forrest and Kotie are mates and moving on from the creepy Christian incident in book 1. There is still a mysterious stalker, creeper, traveler guy who has big plans for Kotie. Then finally, now that Kotie knows she is a witch, she is working on learning all she can from her friend Penny about her new witchy powers.

This book isn’t without its fair share of drama. The Donovan Clan are still coyote dicks and Fiona is a little on the psychotic side. Kotie gets an unexpected and unwelcome visit from her abusive ex who attempts to take her back home. But Forrest and Kotie put a stop to that with a quickness.

Throughout most of the book we get a little bit of story and a whole lotta sex. Super sexy yummy sex. We have dressing room sex, bedroom sex, crazy sex, can’t wait to get you home and fuck you sex and so on. Just like the first book, there is a lot of sex and a little bit of story. But the story that is there is actually pretty good. The story really picks up and starts to reveal itself at about 75%.

There are a couple of things that I didn’t care for. One was in my opinion the over use of words like passion. “panting our passion”, “molten passion”, “his passion mounting”, “sharing our passion”, stifle my passion” and so on. There was also a reference to Kotie’s bright red pubic hair being matted with her desire. Umm… eww… That does not provoke a sexy image for me.

Then, just an observation. Forrest is the badass alpha but he keeps getting his ass handed to him and Kotie comes in to save him. But… he’s still the alpha. 🙂

“Who wants a lapdog when you can have a beast?”

Overall, it was good. The sex is hot but I really wish the word “passion” wasn’t used so much. The story is really good and picks up late in the book. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
