Kristi Cross has had the hots for her friend, Cameron Jackson as long as she can remember, but she knows she’s not his type. She’s nothing like the women he dates. So when he suggests they play for a kiss over a game of Hearts, Kristi can’t resist. Even if she loses, she wins. Because she’s finally going to taste him.

Of course, one kiss can quickly become something altogether steamier, especially when both parties are on the rebound…

Fall in Love on Tryst Island… When a group of friends share a vacation house, wild hijinks, unexpected hook-ups and steamy sex ensue.

I’m not really sure where to start because there is so much story packed into this little 84 page book. Kristi is having a really bad day and is in need of a weekend getaway with some of her close friends… aka, “Dawgs”. Cam, is one of her friends that she has secretly been crushing on for a very long time and he happens to be there this weekend. When Kristi arrives at the vacation home everyone has gone out partying except Cam. So, why not play a game of poker where the bet is just one innocent kiss? Well, Cam is hardly shy about it and is throwing the game like he’s a teenage boy who’s just hit puberty and is about to watch his first porn. But Kristi is his match in this game.

“Because whatever beast lurked in him, prowled within her as well.”

“He flipped her over and yanked down her panties, so she stood before him, bared to him, bent over the table, legs splayed as far as her pooling jeans would allow. Without a word, he unzipped his jeans, yanked out his cock, and thrust it home.”

That scene gave my stomach butterflies and I had to seek out my husband ASAP! All of the sex scenes in this little book are exceptionally detailed and hot.

I really liked this short story. So, I bet you’re wondering why only 4 stars? Well, first I feel like it was a little rushed. I know it’s a short story, but there is so much more story to be told and therefore felt a little incomplete. Maybe that’s the selfish part of me coming out. Second, I don’t know who chapter 9 was about. Maybe that was on purpose to get me to come back? If that’s the case then this author was successful!

For an erotic short story, it was very compelling and the reader gets sucked into this world very quickly. You can see the intricacy of the story start to develop and personalities of all the different friends come out. This is why I said there is a lot of story packed into this short book. This is very well written and Sabrina York has a new fan.

Overall, I really liked this and can’t wait to read more of this series and even more from this author. I absolutely love the friends turned to lover troupe and this was well done. The sex is steamy and satisfying with lots of delicious details. I’m left hanging a little with the last chapter and who it’s about and I am very curious about Holt and his shenanigans.
