Sam has an unusual interest in humans, and considering she’s a fairy of fate whose profession it is to determine their futures, it’s no wonder! But it isn’t just karma she’s curious about. Sam has what her fairy-pal, Alex, thinks is an inordinate and rather wanton interest in certain biological aspects of human behavior–most notably, s-e-x!

When Sam’s job leads her into the path of a handsome man who rocks her world, Sam’s interest becomes obsession. Alex reminds her fairies get one Christmas wish. Will Sam consider using hers to become human just to experience one night of bliss?

But things aren’t always what they seem. Zeph says he isn’t like most… humans… and when Sam discovers who, and what, he really is, she’s forced to make a choice that will transform her existence. Forever.

Very unique twist on some classic paranormal ideas. What a fantastic read! I’m not really sure I will be able to explain this story well. So my short explanation is… just buy the book. You can never be disappointed with a Selena Kitt book. Great characters, story, humor and juicy sex that will captivate you with every page you read.

A slightly longer explanation… Sam is a fairy of fate for humans. Do you ever wonder why you make some of the decisions that you do? Well, that could be a fate fairy whispering in your ear. Fairies don’t experience the same kind of emotions or feelings as humans. Fairies are also invisible to most humans. When Sam encounters Zeph, she is intrigued and wants to know why he can see her. Sam is granted one Christmas wish from The Maker and that is to be a human for a day.

I loved the humor and the really interesting way Kitt describes someone who is discovering what it’s like to be human. Stepping into new skin and feeling things for the first time. Emotion, hunger, fear, lust and love. I especially love how hungry Sam is all the time.

Overall, this is a fantastic, fun and sexy read. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance.

I received a copy of this book via the author in exchange for an honest review.
