Being the younger sister of a Wind Dragons MC member isn’t as great as you’d think it would be.
I can’t escape the details of my brother’s exploits.
No one tells me anything.
Men who know who I am tend to stay away from me.
And worst of all:
The members of the MC are off-limits.
When Arrow catches my eye, I make it my mission to make him happy again.
When I fall head over heels in love with him, I just hope he will be there to catch me.
And that my brother doesn’t kill him.
This is the second book in the series. I haven’t read the first one yet but didn’t feel lost either. Arrow is a club member who wasn’t always a great guy. His former “girlfriend” was murdered and he feels responsible. He still mourns her. A lot of that is because she was a good person and deserved better than she got out of life with him. They weren’t exclusive. Well, she was with him but he wasn’t with her. He felt guilty about it but apparently not enough to stop screwing other women. Since her death, he’s been pretty much celibate. He feels he’s not good for any woman.
Anna is the sister of a fellow club member that has recently moved to be closer to her brother. The siblings never had a good home life when they were younger but are trying to build a relationship now. When Anna sees Arrow, she decides she wants him. His surly attitude leaves a lot to be desired. When desire gets to the both of them, she not only has to worry with his attitude but her brother’s acceptance of this and Arrow’s former girlfriend’s ghost. Figuratively not literally.
This was a good read and enjoyable. I would consider it MC lite, a genre that’s not my favorite. I prefer my MC romances a little more dark. It was easy to read and flowed well. I’m eager to read about the other members of the club. The sex was hot, I just wished the suspense would been a little more suspenseful.
