All Keegan wanted was a roommate who was quiet, minded their own business, and paid for part of the rent. Instead, she got Camden Brooks.
Camden, with his sinful body, sharp tongue, and the inability to stay out of Keegan’s personal space, couldn’t seem to curb his interest in the new girl who wouldn’t put up with his domineering ways.
Feelings were running rampant, sexual tension was thick, and both were struggling to let go of control.
To some people, getting a roommate simply meant living with another person. But to both Camden and Keegan it was a curveball that neither was prepared to swing at.
Keegan is in college and she wants to be a nurse. She’s busy with school and basically raising her little sister because her mother is a selfish bitch. She also works at a doctor’s office to help ends meet. Shes a size ten and that made me love her even more. She’s not overweight but she’s not a waif either. I pictured her as voluptuous. After dealing with her mother’s selfishness one too many times, she knows she has to move out on her own. She can’t afford a place all to her self, so she answers an add for a roommate. When she goes to see the house, she meets Camden. He’s unbelievably attractive, physically fit and he owns a gym. He’s also a judgemental asshole. Regardless of this, she signs a lease and moves in.
Camden is a hard man. He’s stubborn and moody. Not to mention, rude at times. He doesn’t want Keegan as his roommate but his brother forces him into it. He avoids Keegan for the most part which is just fine with her. Keegan views herself as fat and unattractive. Her attraction to Camden pisses her off because she knows what body type of girls he likes. She’s seen them coming home with him.
When Keegan decides to start using his gym, the alpha male in him emerges. Camden always wanted Keegan for himself but he has to have control at all times. But Keegan will not be controlled by anyone ever again.
I really liked this book and its characters. Camden was a touch too Dom for me in parts but I stll liked him. I loved her BFF and his family. The sports fan in me was cheering when I found out that Camden and his three brothers were all named after professional baseball parks. Camden, Turner, Dodger and Wrigley. Love it!
