Review

Dalton, the hot mess drunk from the first book, is trying to make amends for his past sins. He’s sober, a workaholic, attends AA meetings religiously and being around his family more. Good thing because they need him. He just wants to be what they need him to be, what he should’ve been before.

When his ex comes back to town in need of help, he jumps at the chance to do it. He needs to make amends to Zoey more than anyone else. He was a total shit to her. He may have been trying to protect her but still, his actions were douchey.

I liked this but had a major issue with it. When his ex shows back up, she’s just left her husband. Her husband was a wife beater but she was still married. Not to mention pregnant. That’s a hot button for me. It’s still cheating.
Attractive woman reading a book
