When Brenna decided to leave the only life she’d ever known, she never thought she’d ever be back. Now, five years later she’s running from her clean cut husband straight back to the motorcycle club that raised her… and the man she left behind. She left with a secret, and as soon as she returns the truth will break her carefully constructed life wide open.

Review

Brenna is an MC princess. Well she used to be until she up and disappeared from that lifestyle. She made a decision that changed her life one night at the MC. When she left, she married a monster, truly. A few years later, she comes home running for her life. When she gets there, she has to divulge all of her secrets.

Dragon is a patched in member of the Aces MC. He wasn’t though when he first saw Brenna. He didn’t know who she was but he’s never forgotten her. When she comes home with her secrets in tow, that’s when things get really interesting.

What I liked:

Great characters

Good story flow and pacing

Great sex scenes

Great suspense

You knew you were reading a romance and then out of nowhere you were reminded that it is also an MC read.

What I didn’t like:

Dragon hit Brenna- on purpose! At that point he was dead to me. Beyond redemption!

Brenna stayed with her husband who abused her physically and sexually. I have no patience nor compassion for a woman that stays in that situation.

Brenna forgives Dragon for hitting her. If she lets everyone hit her, can I? Because she’s a dumb bitch!

Even with the above gripes, I still liked the book and started the second one immediately.
Attractive woman reading a book
