Review

These two novellas wrap up this series. There’s talk of an epilogue but I haven’t seen any proof of it as of this review.

Link and Rocky continue to try to find out what exactly they mean to each other and where their “relationship” is going. It’s not easy when their pasts still affect their presents. They are growing closer every day and the new insight on their pasts bind them together further. It also helps to keep them apart. Each one trying to escape those bonds of the past and one who deals with massive guilt because of it. Opening up and making yourself emotionally available will always be difficult for these two characters even as they learn that it’s okay to trust someone and you have the right to love again.

When the plot culminates, emotions are at a boiling point and circumstances are daunting. Through it all, Rocky and Link find themselves facing the past and looking forward to the future. This was a very emotionally charged series. It brought out feelings of love, acceptance, self forgiveness and self worth. For me as a reader, it brought out some vigilante type wishes. The cat and mouse games held my interest as a suspense lover. I loved it and the sex was blistering.
