Over my dead body.
That’s what I told Gracie when she informed me of her plan to pick some random guy she met online to get rid of her pesky virginity.
If anyone is touching her, it’s going to be me.
I shouldn’t even be considering it, but I can’t get it out of my head: her, under me, begging me.
Arrogant. Cocky. Prick.
Those are the words I’d use to describe my older brother’s dangerously handsome best friend.
When he learned of my plan to kick off my white cotton briefs, ditching my good girl persona once and for all by losing my virginity to the first eligible bachelor I could find, he flipped out. Said over his dead body.
He says if anyone’s going to do it, it’s going to be him.
I hate that I’m even considering his offer.
But I am … I sooo am.
Ever since he suggested it, all I can think about is his cocky smile on those full lips as he’s driving in to me.
But if we cross that line … will I ever be able to go back?
There are certain tropes in books that have me salivating. This book had one of my personal faves. The brother’s friend. I love it! I can’t really explain why, but I love it. I didn’t read the first book in this series but I don’t feel like I really missed anything either. So, for those of you that like to read in order, I guess get the first book and read it first.
Hudson has always wanted his best friend’s little sister. He knows if he acts on it, that it’s bad news. I mean, that’s the kind of shit that gets your ass kicked. Especially with the past that he shared with Gracie’s brother. When you act like a man whore with your best friend, you’re gonna give said friend the impression that you use women for your own pleasure.
Gracie has gotten her secular life in order. She just finished college and found herself a good job. Now, she plans to get her sex life started. She can’t wait for Hudson to finally notice her. She’s waited long enough. At dinner with her brother and Hudson, she drops the bomb that she is on-line dating and looking to have her V-card punched. As you can imagine, that conversation gets a little heated but Gracie will not be swayed.
This was a cute, short read. Nothing major happens, just a sweet little love story. I enjoyed it and think that lovers of a low conflict romance will really enjoy it also.
