Beth Cornett is the town good girl, so staying out of the way of the motorcycle club’s dangerous members was a no brainer. Unfortunately, she manages to catch the eye of Razer, who has every intention of tempting her to take him on despite her misgivings. When her worst fears are realized, she is left heartbroken, determined to forget her walk on the wild side.

Razer was not going to change for any woman, not even Beth. Their lifestyles were too different; betrayed she ran. Realizing his mistake too late; she was not about to forgive and forget. It takes a killer intent on targeting Beth to bring her back to him and The Last Riders for protection. Razer may have learned his lesson, but this time, as long as she is at the club, she has to play by their rules.

Review

Razer is part of the Last Riders MC and they are quite the wild bunch. They protect the town they live in and enjoy all things MC. Violence, brotherhood and free love. They share the same women, women who live at the club and other women from the town. Razer’s is ex military, a SEAL like many of his brothers. He likes his sex wild, rough and without limits. When the ex-preacher’s daughter walks into a known biker bar and comes to the defense of an older man insulting a club member, he’s intrigued.

Beth is a kind and simple woman with a horrific past. That past isn’t well known and she’s never let it define her. She does good deeds for her townsfolk and helps her sister, who has issues of her own.. She’s always steered clear of the local MC because of her zealot father’s teachings, so when she tries to rescue a client at a biker bar, she is shocked by her body’s reaction to Razer.

Razer’s decides he wants Beth in his bed and gives it the full court press. Beth is attracted but hesitant. This makes Razer’s feel as though it’s more work than he wants to do for sex. After leaving her house one night, she decides she wants to take things further and goes to the club to see him. What she finds is him in the middle of a threesome with one of her employees. His rejection stings but Beth being Beth continues to move on with her life. When Razer finally decides he truly wants Beth, then danger is lurking around her. You have to read the rest for yourself.

I liked the book but I didn’t love it. I loved Beth. She was fantastic. She felt real to me. Razer’s was an ass of the highest order and was undeserving of her. His treatment was cruel and heartless in parts. Beth had already been treated so badly in her life and whether he knew this or not, you don’t treat people the way he did her. Despite the suspense part of the story, this book felt MC lite to me. I like that but I’ll never love it.
Attractive woman reading a book
