Dominic is beyond pissed when he learns the CEO of a company he’s just invested a ton of money in has stolen some of his confidential files. Files that contain information worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Taught by his ruthless father to stomp the competition, Dominic’s first reaction is to go after Blaine and kick his ass. But when the man goes into hiding, Dominic decides to take out his revenge on a more convenient target–Blaine’s little sister.

Held captive for a ransom she knows won’t ever be paid, Olivia decides she must find a way to soothe Dominic’s savage nature and obtain her freedom, while hiding the truth about her participation in her brother’s scam. But when Dominic takes her to bed and makes love to her, Olivia begins to wonder if she should rethink her decision to escape.

Review

This a novella length story. A story about one man who sells out his only remaining relative for money. A story about another man hell bent on revenge.A story about a young woman caught up in desperation. Three different people trying to find justification for their actions.

This novella has a little of everything in it. Morally bankrupt characters, suspense, hot sex and an HEA. That’s not to say that all the characters are bad, just morally challenged. I liked the book because of the things listed above. What I didn’t like was the wrap up redemption for the heroine’s brother. I didn’t buy it at all. He was scum. I also didn’t like the insta-love between the hero and heroine but that’s what often happens in a novella length story. Otherwise, I enjoyed it, like I always do with a Kathryn Kelly penned story.
