You’re not supposed to want the one who torments you.

When my stepbrother, Elec, came to live with us my senior year, I wasn’t prepared for how much of a jerk he’d be.

I hated that he took it out on me because he didn’t want to be here.
I hated that he brought girls from our high school back to his room.
But what I hated the most was the unwanted way my body reacted to him.

At first, I thought all he had going for him were his rock-hard tattooed abs and chiseled face. Then, things started changing between us, and it all came to a head one night.

Just as quickly as he’d come into my life, he was gone back to California.

It had been years since I’d seen Elec.

When tragedy struck our family, I’d have to face him again.

And holy hell, the teenager who made me crazy was now a man that drove me insane.

I had a feeling my heart was about to get broken again.

This is what happens when you read all the great reviews on a book. It can’t possibly live up to the hype.

This is the story of Greta and Elec. Her mom and his dad are married and Elec has to come live with them unexpectedly when his mom has a mental relapse. Elec is a tattooed, lip pierced bad boy with the pissy attitude to match. He’s moody, brooding and completely inappropriate. A part of me loved him right away. Another part of me wanted to punch him right in the throat. He has his reasons for his attitude and the pain he carries inside of him.

Greta in an extremely nice young girl who was determined to kill Elec with kindness, despite the terrible way he treated her. She didn’t know all his secrets nor understood his attitude. She saw the hardened demeanor and the parade of girls he brought to his room. She endured his insults and cruelty. She saw the interaction between him and his father and felt for Elec.

When they form an uneasy truce, their attraction goes wild. They slowly I fall in love only to have that love ripped apart by his abrupt departure. Years pass until they’re thrown together again for a funeral. Will the young love they have bring them together or will the lives they both have now keep them apart?

This wasn’t a bad book, it was just an okay one for me. The sex felt sweet but not really spicy. It almost had a YA feel to it to me. I’m not sorry I read it but after the reviews I had read I was expecting so much more.
