The legend of the Paka Watu…

Ever since she was a young girl, Abby Lane can’t resist the allure of a catshifter tribe forced to repress their beasts. On a trip to Africa, she discovers a coveted piece of information—the name the pride leader assumed when he left his home—and she traces his lineage to his descendent.

The sleeping lion…

Utah Pearce can’t keep his gaze off the woman who slips into the bar every night. Though not his usual type, she brings out the possessive instinct in him, making him battle with himself as he tries to stay away.

Abby’s research never prepared her for the reality in front of her. The beast is waking, and Utah is changing in ways both exciting and terrifying. He is possessive and dominant, and when he finally claims her, neither of them will ever be the same.

Abby Lane has an obsession, one that she’s had for most of her life. The legend of the Paka Watu, aka Cat People. She believed in this race of people so so much that she even went to Africa to research and search for them. What she found led her to Utah Pearce. Where Abby describes herself as bookish and plain, Utah is all things beautiful. He’s also unaware that he is a member of the Paka Watu. When he starts to really accept it, oh boy, hold onto your seats.

This was a good read for me except for one HUGE thing but I’ll get to that in a minute. Abby is a great heroine, she truly is. I loved her. Utah Pearce? Break me off a piece of that! Wow! He is truly an alpha male. If authors want to know how to write an alpha male, look no further than right here. Posessive, growly, strong, sexy and yes, a little bossy. Yum, mama likes! There’s a great deal of humor here also. OMG, when he kept having his friend pull the car over so he could drag Abby off for sex, hilarious.

Okay, now for my complaint. There similarities between this book and Lora Leigh’s Breed series were eerie. I felt like I’d already read this. It tainted the book for me. If you’ve never read Lora Leigh’s Breed series than this one is a sure fire winner!
